Alameda Health System is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to manage day-to-day staffing and scheduling for nursing units. The role includes coordinating staff assignments, managing registry bookings, and producing staffing reports to support department leaders.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, with an AA degree preferred, and at least one year of staffing experience in a medical setting. This on-site position requires strong communication and organizational abilities.

• At least one year of staffing experience in the medical field.

Responsabilités

• Adapts to changing routines; flexibility in demands of Nursing Staff and Department Leaders.
• Answers phone and routes calls to appropriate staff; types reports and letters for the Nursing Office.
• Coordinates daily schedules; assigns staff to departments as needed.
• Notifies Nursing Supervisor/Department Leader of staffing problems and finds solutions.
• Assists leaders with vacation and holiday time after schedules are posted.
• Prepares staffing reports and directs them to appropriate departments.
• Maintains professional communication with ancillary departments to ensure efficiency.
• Maintains staff availability schedules and calls staff for changes.
• Notifies registry agencies for bookings and maintains registry timesheets.
• Maintains contracts and rates with registries; reconciles registry accounts weekly.
• Reports unusual occurrences or staffing requests to leadership; assists as needed.
• Escalates issues to Nurse Staffing Office Manager, Nursing House Supervisor, and Nursing Leadership.
