Qualifications

• Six months to one year of recent hospital experience or equivalent training.
• Medical terminology desirable.
• Related business courses and computer training preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Windows-based software.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical and administrative activities to meet patient care and staffing needs of the Nursing Departments.
• Adjust and complete daily staffing assignments to accommodate census, acuity, and skill mix.
• Notify employees for shift availability and obtain approval for premium pay.
• Enter and maintain data in nurse staffing office systems and generate reports.
• Assist Charge Nurses and Directors with staffing plans.
• Follow hospital policies and compliance programs.
• Process future schedules and scheduling forms.
