Job summary

Antelope Valley Care Center is seeking a Staff Coordinator to ensure adequate staffing of the facility's nursing department and to support budget and census targets. You will manage scheduling, timekeeping, and communications with the DNS, HR, and department managers to maintain efficient operations.

This full-time role requires strong English communication, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information while ensuring resident care needs are met in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Mathematical Skills: apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.
• Reasoning Ability: able to make independent decisions and work harmoniously with others.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing for the facility nursing department to meet resident care needs.
• Maintain schedules, enter payroll and ensure accurate timekeeping.
• Communicate with DNS, HR and department managers regarding staffing and scheduling.
• Assist with interviewing and onboarding new nursing staff.
• Prepare reports and records related to scheduling, attendance and staffing.
