Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to ensure adequate nursing department staffing based on budget and census. The role supports scheduling, attendance tracking, and reporting to the Director of Nursing Services.

Responsibilities include maintaining contact lists, coordinating interviews, and ensuring proper documentation for new hires, with emphasis on timely reporting and interdepartmental collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to read technical procedures and communicate with staff.
• Must be able to work with a variety of personnel and residents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current listing of all resident care employee phone numbers.
• Update business office with department managers’ phone numbers.
• Maintain daily tardy and absenteeism calendars.
• Report to the Director of Nursing Services on attendance issues per policy.
• Coordinate scheduling with the Human Resources Director and DNS.
• Prepare and file employee records for hiring, reclassifications, and discharge.
• Assist with time cards, leave requests, and scheduling forms.
