Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to ensure appropriate nurse staffing levels across the facility, aligned with budget and census targets. The role supports the Director of Nursing Services and collaborates with Human Resources to optimize scheduling and staffing effectiveness.

The position requires strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Excellent communication with staff and leaders is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and understand English and communicate with staff and residents.
• Experience in healthcare staffing or scheduling is preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily attendance, tardiness, and absenteeism calendars for nursing staff.
• Update department managers’ contact information and posting of schedules.
• Coordinate interviews and assist in new hire onboarding processes.
• Prepare and post nursing schedules to ensure unit coverage.
• Assist with time cards, leave requests, and other staffing forms.
• Report staffing variances to the DNS and develop improvement plans.
