Job summary

PACS staffing coordinator position focuses on ensuring adequate nursing department staffing to meet resident needs within budget and census targets. You will coordinate with the Director of Nursing Services (DNS), HR, and unit managers to maintain accurate schedules and staffing records, and ensure timely reporting of staffing issues.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, and the public.
• Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions in day-to-day tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current listing of resident care employees' contact information.
• Schedule nursing staff to ensure adequate coverage of units.
• Report staffing and absenteeism issues to the DNS as per policy.
• Coordinate with Human Resources and DNS on modified work duties and restrictions.
• Prepare and file required staffing reports and records.
• Assist with interviews and orientation for new hires.
