Job summary

Thompson Health in Canandaigua, NY is seeking a Full-Time Nursing Scheduling Coordinator for the Continuing Care Center. You will prepare and coordinate the nursing staff schedule and oversee hours and PTO with leadership, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Required are a high school diploma, experience in healthcare scheduling, and strong customer service skills. Proficiency with Kronos and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in health care field in staff coordination and scheduling.
• Two years current experience in Long-term care.
• Two years scheduling 24-hour day operation.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Microsoft Office and Kronos.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate the Nursing staff schedule in the Continuing Care Center.

Description

Schedule: Full time, Days.

Main Function:

To prepare and coordinate the Nursing staff schedule in the Continuing Care Center.

Job Specific Competencies

• Oversee work hours of associates and coordinates PTO approval with oversight of DON and NM within established guidelines.
• Use basic mathematical skills.
• Have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with emergency situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Demonstrates skill in communication including effectively gathering and disseminating information.
• Demonstrates skill in proactively resolving problems, recommending, and implementing continuous quality improvements.
• Demonstrates integrity regarding confidential information.

Qualifications

• CNA certification or LPN license preferred

Education and experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience in health care field in staff coordination and scheduling
• Two years current experience in Long-term care
• Two years (at least) experience in scheduling 24-hour day operation
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Microsoft Office and time keeping software (Kronos)

Pay Range: $22.00 - $27.00/hr

Starting Pay: Based on experience
