Job summary

The Clinical Education Support Technician at the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Nursing will support nursing skills labs by preparing rooms, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe learning environment. The role oversees CTEN mannequins, simulators, and training software, collaborating with faculty and students, with some evenings/weekends possible to meet operational needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare environment.
• Experience organizing supplies and inventory.
• Ability to learn new computer technology.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Physical demands: standing, walking, lifting and repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical and logistical consultation, training, and/or support for learning technology tools and platforms within the nursing skills and simulation labs.
• Analyses, tests, troubleshoots, resolves issues, and provides feedback regarding learning technologies and equipment.
• Provides support for collecting, organizing, interpreting, and disseminating data to identify instructional program needs.
• Contributes to researching, designing, and/or acquiring learning resources, technologies, materials, and processes to support learning.
• Provides support for faculty development and engagement programs and activities.
• Assists with the design and development of engaging learning experiences which may be face-to-face, blended, and/or online.
• Maintains, calibrates, and sets up skills lab and simulation equipment according to policies.
• Assists with providing basic training and technical support to learners in classrooms, labs, clinics, and distance learning.
