Job summary

Unitek Learning seeks a Simulation & Lab Support Technician to maintain and operate simulation and skills lab equipment for nursing programs. The role entails keeping equipment manuals current, programming simulators, and supporting faculty and students with VR and audiovisual tools.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of simulation experience in an educational setting, strong problem solving, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in healthcare field preferred; paramedic/EMT/hospital tech considered.
• 1-2 years of simulation experience in education setting preferred.
• CHSOS certification preferred (required to obtain within 3 years if not certified on hire).
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking; capable of multitasking.
• Flexible and able to adapt to changing policies and clinical needs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current knowledge of simulation/lab equipment and operation manuals.
• Program simulator software to model physiological responses per instructor specs.
• Operate and maintain audiovisual and debriefing systems.
• Support faculty and students with VR equipment and updates.
• Provide technical support and training to instructors on simulation procedures and equipment.
• Proctor exams as needed.
• Ensure labs are clean, safe, and orderly; maintain records and inventories.
