Job Summary

Do you enjoy hands-on work in a clinical or technical environment? The School of Nursing is seeking a Clinical Education Support Technician to support its nursing skills and simulation labs by preparing clinical skills rooms, maintaining equipment and supplies, and ensuring students and faculty have a safe, well-organized learning environment.

The Clinical Education Support Technician will primarily be responsible for supporting nursing faculty, clinical instructors, and students by preparing and maintaining the clinical skills environment s to accurately represent a clinical setting using real and simulated clinical supplies and equipment. This position will oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of the CTEN (Center for Technology Enhanced Nursing) mid-fidelity mannequins and h human patient simulator equipment, as well as partial task trainers, medical equipment, and specialized simulation training software used by faculty during clinical training and assessment programs. No two days will look alike in this role.

The CTEN is a 5,000-square-foot space that includes 4 skills labs, 2 assessment labs, a nd simulated hospital, clinic, and home environments.

These spaces support students' hands-on learning by providing opportunities to explore and learn the role of the professional nurse in a variety of unique care settings.

The CTEN typically operates Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:30 am to 6:30 pm and core work hours between these hours will be set upon hire. Work hours will need to be shifted to meet operational needs and occasional work in the evenings and/or weekends may be required to meet the needs of the school.

This position is full-time, 100%. It is anticipated this position requires most work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location and has been designated as a position that is essential to School of Nursing operations.

Key Job Responsibilities

Compensation

The minimum starting salary for this position is $50,000. Actual salary will be negotiated based on experience and qualifications. Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in a healthcare environment (e.g., professional work experience as a CNA, EMT, Paramedic, RN, LPN, Medical Assistant, or similar)
• Experience organizing supplies, managing inventory, or supporting daily operations in a clinical, laboratory, or technical environment
• Experience with and ability to learn new computer technology
• Ability to lift 50 pounds up to 5 feet or at least eye-level
• Physical demands: frequent standing, walking, lifting, and reaching, as well as repetitive motions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting or working with audiovisual and/or simulation technology
