Job summary

Delaware State University seeks a Non-Clinical Nursing Skills Lab Coordinator to support daily operations of the nursing skills and simulation laboratory. Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with nursing students, faculty and instructors
  • Great communication skills (explaining instructions clearly, offering guidance)
  • Patience and professionalism in a learning environment
  • Healthcare environments (non-clinical roles such as, CNAs, MAs, or tech aides) preferred

  • Set up, operate, and break down clinical training equipment (e.g., mannequins, task trainers, vital signs monitors)
  • Clean, disinfect, and maintain lab equipment and supplies according to infection control and safety guidelines
  • Assist instructors during lab sessions by distributing materials and supporting student practice
  • Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and inventory
  • Provide basic technical support for simulation equipment and lab software
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and institutional policies
  • Support scheduling and coordination of lab activities

The Non-Clinical Nursing Skills Lab Coordinator supports the daily operations of the nursing skills and simulation laboratory. This role is responsible for preparing lab environments, maintaining equipment, and assisting faculty and students during skills practice sessions. This non-clinical position does not involve patient care or clinical instruction.

Essential Functions
