Job summary

Northwest Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants in a long‑term care setting. Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and applicable laws/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants and plan shift services.
• Complete and file resident records and physician orders; chart nurse notes and incident reports.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians.
• Maintain rapport with inter-departmental staff to ensure quality nursing services.
• Perform professional nursing services such as catheterization, tube feedings, dressings, and wound care.
• Monitor staff compliance with safety regulations in equipment use.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and privacy; manage nursing reports and handoffs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
