Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a Nursing Director to administer and manage Nursing Services, ensuring 24-hour supervision and high-quality resident care per physician orders and state regulations. The role requires RN licensure, a nursing degree, and leadership experience.

The position involves directing the nursing department, and serving as acting administrator in their absence, with responsibilities spanning assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation under the Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as RN in the state practiced.
• Associate or Bachelor Degree from an accredited nursing school required.
• Five years in long-term or acute health care preferred; 2 years nursing supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate plans for total resident care in accordance with physician orders and regulations.
• Interpret policies and procedures to nursing staff; monitor practices and implementation.
• Participate in admissions decisions and visits to prospective residents.
• Participate in daily and weekly management meetings to discuss resident status, census, personnel, and concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
