Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an experienced RN - Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing the Nursing Services department. The role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care in a post-acute setting in accordance with Life Care standards.

The ideal candidate holds an ASN/BSN, an active RN license, CPR certification, and at least two years of geriatric nursing experience.

Qualifications

• ASN or BSN from accredited college or university.
• Currently licensed/registered RN in good standing.
• Two years geriatric nursing experience preferred, post-acute care.
• CPR certification required by hire or during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and directing the Nursing Services department.
• Interview, select, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise nursing staff.
• Oversee care provided by nursing staff.
• Oversee infection control responsibilities.
• Assume the duties of the DON in absence.
• Provide direct nursing care as necessary.
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
