Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks an RN to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the Nursing Services department to ensure the highest quality patient care in a post-acute setting.

The role requires ASN or BSN, an active RN license, and CPR certification; two years of geriatric nursing experience is preferred. Candidates must adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards and work well within an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• ASN or BSN from accredited college or university.
• Active RN license in good standing.
• Two years of geriatric nursing experience preferred, post-acute care is a plus.
• CPR certification required upon hire or during orientation and kept current.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and directing Nursing Services.
• Interview, select, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise nursing staff.
• Oversee care provided by nursing staff and infection control responsibilities.
• Assume DON duties in their absence and provide direct nursing care as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional relationships with staff and patients.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, laws, and Life Care standards.
