Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks an RN - Assistant Director of Nursing to support the DON in planning, organizing and directing Nursing Services for high-quality patient care in a post-acute setting.

Required ASN/BSN, active RN license, and CPR. Two years of geriatric nursing preferred. Responsibilities include hiring, training, supervising staff, and maintaining infection control and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• ASN or BSN degree from an accredited college or university.
• Active RN license in the state; maintain in good standing.
• Two years of geriatric nursing experience preferred, post-acute care.
• CPR certification at hire or during orientation; kept current.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON in planning, developing, implementing, evaluating and directing the Nursing Services department.
• Interview, select, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise nursing staff.
• Oversee care provided by nursing staff and infection control responsibilities.
• Possess independent decision-making and ensure compliance with laws and Life Care standards.
• Maintain professional relationships and protect confidentiality; follow company policies.
