The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking an experienced nursing program administrator to provide administrative leadership for the department in alignment with College policies.

The role requires Maryland RN licensure and a Master’s degree in nursing with 4 years of full-time teaching experience in an accredited program, plus strong collaboration, budget involvement, and faculty supervision. You'll oversee classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction and contribute to accreditation

Class Description

The purpose of this class is to provide administrative managementand leadership for assigned departments with other divisionaladministrators and in a manner consistent with established Collegepolicies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland;Master’s degree in nursing with 4 years of full-time teachingexperience in an accredited nursing program.

Class Specific Essential Duties

1. Provide the day-to-day management of the program, includingsupervision of full-time, adjunct faculty and staff.
2. Work collaboratively to achieve departmental, divisional and/orinstitutional initiatives.
3. Interview, hire and evaluate assigned staff.
4. Represent the program, school and the College with students,parents, professional organizations, and other relevantconstituencies.
5. Participate in budget processes.
6. Oversees classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction usinga variety of teaching strategies to achieve learningobjectives.
7. Evaluates student achievement on a regular basis using validassessment techniques. Essential Job Duties are intended to beexamples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive. Therewill be other duties as assigned.

1. Provide administrative leadership for and management of theprogram.
2. Support the development, coordination, and evaluation ofprogram curriculum.
3. Develop, maintain, comply with, and conduct a periodic reviewof written agreements with cooperating agencies.
4. Coordinate the scheduling of faculty, courses, and clinicalfacilities.
5. Responsible and accountable for all aspects of the program’saccreditation.
6. Participate as an active member of the SHP leadershipteam.
7. Conduct formal and informal counseling of students andfaculty.
8. Develop methods of program evaluation to ensure ongoingeffectiveness through outcomes assessment and correspondingrevisions as needed.
9. Monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
10. Establish goals and objectives for operations consistent withCCBC’s mission.
