Job summary

CCBC seeks a qualified professional to train, analyze, design, and develop curricula to support IT initiatives and business process improvements at the college.

Responsibilities include creating training materials, delivering technology training to faculty and staff, and coordinating assessments to boost efficiency. Must have an associate degree and 5 years of relevant experience; valid driver's license with low points may be required.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree required; degree in Instructional Technology, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Five years of experience in supporting technology and delivering technology-related training.
  • Experience with needs assessments preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with fewer than five (5) points.

Class Description

The purpose of this class is to provide training, analysis, designand curriculum development, technical support, needs assessments,surveys, and administrative duties to support training and businessprocess improvements within the college, related to ITinitiatives.

Minimum Requirements

Associate’ Degree required, degree in Instructional Technology,Information Technology or related field. Five (5) years’ experiencein supporting technology, developing and delivering technologyrelated training required. Experience performing needs assessmentspreferred. Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing withviolation points less than five (5).

Class Specific Essential Duties
  1. Analyze & design training materials and plans to meet the needs of groups and individuals.
  2. Teach technology & business process training courses forCCBC faculty and staff.

Position Specific Essential Duties
  1. Assist the college to become more efficient by introducing andimplementing the use of technology to meet the strategic needsaround IT initiatives.
  2. Implement the appropriate processes and procedures for approvedIT initiatives.
  3. Analyze, design, deliver, implement and evaluate traininginitiatives
  4. Work independently or as part of a team to determine trainingobjectives and design, develop and maintain instructor-led andelectronic training documentation and materials, including trainingpromotional materials, presentations, job aids, user guides,voiceover tutorials and instructor/participant material.
  5. Monitor and report the effectiveness of training for facultyand staff. Recommend and implement training changes for efficiencyand effectiveness.
  6. Work collaboratively across organizational units to performneeds assessments/surveys around business processes, supportingtechnology integration and IT initiatives.
  7. Identify how technology can optimize businessprocesses/procedures and implement appropriate interventionsrequired to achieve desired results.
  8. Maintain currency in new and existing training methods andtechnologies, through research and participation in professionaldevelopment activities as assigned. Maintain currency in Office,SharePoint and other computer software technologies, as well asadult learning theories, user experience and process improvementpractices through research and professional developmentparticipation.
  9. Provide support to faculty and staff on a variety of technologyproblems, questions and projects.
  10. Identify, research and resolve technical problems related totraining material and programs.
  11. Facilitate communication between users and IT personnel onsystem/software purpose, work-flow issues, data integration andoutput needs.
  12. Perform tasks relating to the functions of the department,including collecting, reviewing, inputting and auditing data.
