Job summary

Beaumont Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to support the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department within a long-term care facility.

This role emphasizes adherence to federal, state, and local standards, participation in policy development, staffing coordination, and quality improvement initiatives to maintain the highest standard of resident care.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Develop and periodically update nursing service objectives and statements of philosophy.
• Assist in developing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Review nurse’s notes to ensure that they are informative and descriptive of the care provided.
• Participate in facility surveys and support the Director during inspections.
