Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department.
• Develop and periodically update nursing service objectives and statements of philosophy.
• Consult and coordinate with care-planning, residents and staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Review nurse notes for accuracy and reflect the resident’s wishes in care.
• Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure orders are followed.
