Job summary

Journey is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to serve as a clinical operational liaison and oversee daily nursing unit operations. The ADON ensures compliance with policies, leads care delivery changes, mentors staff, and coordinates with departments while maintaining patient and family satisfaction.

The role requires active RN licensure with supervisory experience, preferably in long-term care, and BSN is preferred. Excellent communication and data-analytic skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of three years of nursing experience, including at least one year in a supervisory role; long-term care or geriatric experience preferred.
• BSN preferred, with proven skills in organizing and managing nursing services and personnel.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English, with clerical ability to analyze reports and data.
• Current BLS/CPR certification as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Nursing Department Leadership: Support the Director of Nursing in managing the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and enforcing policies.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure regulatory compliance, participate in chart audits, and oversee infection control, care planning, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Staff Development and Oversight: Participate in hiring, training, and performance reviews while promoting professional growth and ensuring the delivery of consistent, high-quality care.
