Job summary

Brighton Post Acute Care is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing to lead nursing operations in a 78-bed Sub-Acute and Long-Term Care facility. The role is full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, with a strong emphasis on clinical excellence and collaborative leadership.

You will assist the Director of Nursing, oversee the dialysis den, and drive high-quality resident care while supporting staff development and a positive, respectful workplace.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid, unencumbered RN license in Massachusetts.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital, nursing care center, or related healthcare setting.
• Supervisory experience with knowledge of leadership principles, staff development, and teaching practices required.
• Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, families, staff, and public.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, medical procedures, and applicable laws and guidelines governing nursing care facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning all aspects of nursing operations, setting priorities, coordinating initiatives, and assigning responsibilities.
• Serve as the care champion for the dialysis den, ensuring clinical excellence and compassionate care for residents.
• Monitor nursing units’ activities, communicate policies, evaluate performance, and provide coaching and disciplinary support as needed.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, family members, staff, and the interdisciplinary medical team.
• Conduct regular rounds to monitor delivery of nursing care, coordination with support services, cleanliness, and staff morale.
• Carry out, coordinate, and oversee administrative functions related to Nursing Services to support compliant operations.
