Job summary

Advanced-Health-Care-6 is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and uphold clinical excellence in resident care.

The role requires directing RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other staff, developing policies, coordinating care with physicians and therapists, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will mentor staff, manage recruitment, and oversee budgeting while maintaining a compassionate, professional culture.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• 3-5 years of nursing leadership experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge across nursing care, assessment, planning and regulation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the nursing department, directing RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other staff to deliver safe, compassionate care.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and standards in line with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and administrators to coordinate resident care and optimize outcomes.
• Monitor care quality, including assessments, care planning, medication management, and infection control; drive improvements.
• Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and ongoing staff education.
• Oversee recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention of nursing staff; ensure appropriate staffing and skill mix.
• Educate employees on job expectations, procedures, and regulations; assign tasks and provide feedback.
• Set schedules and coverage; model professionalism and positive workplace demeanor.
• Participate in quality assurance, incident reporting, and regulatory-survey readiness; address trends and actions.
• Act as liaison with residents and families to address concerns and ensure open communication.
• Manage nursing department budget, resources, and equipment in collaboration with administration.
