Job summary

St. Luke's Health Network, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Patient Care Manager to support professional nursing practice under the supervision of the Patient Care Manager/Director. The role collaborates with administrative staff, nursing, physicians, and the care team to uphold standards of care.

The position requires an RN license (PA or NJ depending on location), a nursing degree, and leadership experience. BLS is required, with a focus on quality, safety, and patient experience improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred; required within 5 years of obtaining position.
• Two years of direct clinical experience preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• RN license in PA or NJ required for work location.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical expertise and serves as clinical resource to staff.
• Assumes responsibility/accountability for daily operations: planning, organizing and supervising care to assure patient safety and quality.
• Selects, motivates, and retains staff; initiates formal recognition plan.
• Facilitates department staff meetings and trainings relevant to position; participates in activities promoting development; serves on hospital/unit councils.
• Leads performance improvement initiatives related to Quality, Safety and Patient Experience; mentors staff.
• Promotes evidence-based practice; reviews staff performance, conducts evaluations, ensures competency and initiates remedial actions.
