Job summary

St. Luke's University Health Network in Bethlehem seeks a Patient Care Manager to oversee department-level patient care, safety and efficiency.

You will supervise daily operations, integrate planning and budgeting with hospital leadership, and drive performance improvement and regulatory compliance. Applicants should have RN licensure in PA, a nursing degree, and at least three years of leadership experience, with a preference for a Master’s degree.

Qualifications

• RN license to practice in Pennsylvania or endorsed licensure in progress.
• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program.
• Minimum of three years clinical leadership experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assume 24-hour responsibility and accountability for care planning and supervision.
• Develop and evaluate short- and long-range performance goals for the department.
• Implement policies and ensure clinical practice standards are met.
• Analyze unit performance data and manage budgets collaboratively.
• Select, motivate, and retain staff; lead recognition initiatives.
• Grow staffing to meet patient needs while controlling costs.
• Maintain departmental records for regulatory purposes; participate in councils.
