Job summary

Unitek EMT, part of Unitek Learning, is seeking a Full-Time Clinical/Skills/Sim Lab Faculty to join Presbyterian Health Systems’ nursing education initiatives on campus. Responsibilities include delivering skills-lab and clinical instruction, supervising student practice, and evaluating performance across rotations.

Qualified candidates hold a current unencumbered nursing license, a Master’s in nursing/education, and a BSN; teaching in RN programs is valued.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid, unencumbered license issued by the State Board of Nursing.
• Eligible for approval by Board as Instructor for Medical-Surgical, OB, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community Health, or Geriatrics.
• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university that includes course work in nursing, education, or administration.
• BSN and currently enrolled in a Master’s program may be considered for a Clinical Teaching Assistant.
• Minimum four-years' experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care.
• One-year experience teaching courses related to nursing or completion of a course which includes practice in teaching nursing preferred.
• Expertise in Mental Health, Medical-Surgical, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, L&D, Community Health, and/or Critical Care

Responsibilities

• Provide Skills Lab and/or Clinical site education to students during rotations.
• Utilize adult learning principles in instruction.
• Plan and supervise student clinical experiences in facilities.
• Evaluate student performance against learning outcomes.
• Provide timely feedback after observed clinical events.
• Maintain accurate attendance and skill check-off records.
• Ensure clinical assignments meet student and facility needs.
• Observe, instruct, and evaluate students effectively.
• Incorporate online activities to enhance course material.
• Submit program reports to Academic Site Director on time.
• Stay current with safety regulations and new technologies.
• Participate in committee activities and faculty meetings.
• Provide accessible communication channels for students.
