Unitek College invites applications for a Clinical/Skills Lab Instructor to support its PN and BSN programs in collaboration with Presbyterian Health Systems. The role requires availability for at least one day per week—Fridays, Saturdays, and/or Sundays—and involves teaching in sim labs and clinical settings.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid, unencumbered nursing license.
• Eligible for Board approval as Instructor for Medical-Surgical, OB, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community Health, or Geriatrics.
• Master's degree in nursing, education, or administration or BSN with MSN enrollment.
• Minimum four years' RN direct patient care experience, with at least one year in the last five years.
• One year teaching experience preferred.
• Expertise in Mental Health, Medical-Surgical, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, L&D, Community Health, or Critical Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide education in the sim/skills lab and clinical settings per curriculum and faculty expertise.
• Utilize teaching practices suitable for adult learners.
• Plan and supervise student clinical experiences in health care facilities.
• Evaluate student performance against clinical learning outcomes.
• Provide timely feedback after observation of performance.
• Maintain accurate student records and attendance data.
• Ensure clinical assignments meet student and facility needs.
• Observe, instruct, and evaluate students; seek instructional quality improvements.
• Incorporate online activities to enhance course content.
• Submit program reports to the Dean in a timely manner.
• Stay current with innovative technologies and safety regulations.
• Participate in committee activities and attend faculty meetings.
• Provide access to students via office hours and electronic communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
