Job summary

Jersey College seeks an experienced Nursing Instructor to deliver classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students. The role includes supervising students, evaluating progress, and guiding professional development in alignment with program standards.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN or higher, maintains an active RN license, and brings 3+ years of RN experience with teaching or mentoring of nursing students.

Qualifications

• MSN or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience; clinical relevance to taught courses.
• Teaching experience with LPN/PN and/or RN students preferred.
• Experience with clinical evaluation and competency-based education.
• Experience using learning management systems and educational technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction for LPN/PN and RN students.
• Supervise students in clinical settings and ensure safe nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and competency per program standards.
• Prepare timely progress and grade reports; maintain attendance records.
• Collaborate with faculty, clinical partners, and campus administration.
• Participate in faculty meetings and ongoing professional development.
