Job summary

Jersey College in New Jersey seeks an experienced Nursing Instructor to deliver high-quality classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students. The instructor creates a supportive learning environment, evaluates student performance, and guides learners toward the knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors essential for success in nursing.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN or higher, an active RN license in New Jersey, and a minimum of three years of recent RN

Qualifications

• BSN or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in New Jersey required.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.
• Experience with nursing education or teaching is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN nursing students, as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters students' academic growth and professional development.
• Deliver effective instruction appropriate to the educational level and needs of LPN/PN and RN students.
• Supervise students in the clinical environment and promote safe, professional nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program philosophy, objectives, policies, and established standards.
• Prepare accurate and timely student progress reports and grade reports.
• Maintain accurate and timely attendance records.
