Job summary

Jersey College is seeking an experienced Nursing Instructor to deliver high-quality nursing instruction and clinical education to LPN/PN and RN students. The instructor will teach across classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical settings, fostering a supportive learning environment and guiding students toward professional competencies.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN or higher, an active RN license, and at least 3 years of RN experience with clinical relevance to the taught subjects.

Qualifications

• MSN or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state required.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses being taught.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in a nursing specialty that contributes to student learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN nursing students, as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters students' academic growth and professional development.
• Deliver effective instruction appropriate to the educational level and needs of LPN/PN and RN students.
• Supervise students in the clinical environment and promote safe, professional nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program philosophy, objectives, policies, and established standards.
