The Academic & Simulation Lab Professional at Mohawk Valley Health System plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates learning resources for students and faculty, across academic, clinical, laboratory and simulated learning environments.

The role partners with the President, Dean, and faculty to develop nursing education programs, enhance student retention and graduation rates, and supervise the Simulation Lab and related safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited college.
• Four years of clinical nursing practice and a minimum of two years of teaching experience.
• Excellent organizational skills; self‑directed, Computer Technology Skills, Teaching skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the President, Dean of Student & Faculty Development, and faculty to plan and administer a nursing education program.
• Oversees execution of activities designed to encourage student retention and increase graduation rates.
• Develops strategies to optimize student learning based on program requirements.
• Identifies student learning needs and offers support strategies or resources.
• Analyzes assessment data to assist learners to achieve their potential.
• Promotes learners’ understanding and use of effective study skills.
• Advises and recommends additional resources to ensure student success.
• Facilitates learning by providing guidelines and supervision for peer group study.
