Job summary

Advocate Health in Illinois seeks a Clinical Nurse Specialist Education provider to support ambulatory clinics with evidence-based nursing education. This full-time hybrid role involves on-site presence and travel to Georgia locales, designing and delivering education using ANPD principles.

You will assess learning needs, develop materials, and coordinate interprofessional education initiatives to improve clinical practice and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be knowledgeable in adult learning theory and capable of planning, coordinating, and overseeing educational programs.
• Skilled in applying adult learning principles to online and in-person teaching.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, planning and problem-solving abilities.
• Critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Apply ANPD principles to bridge knowledge and practice gaps through education.
• Gather data to validate learning needs and assess gaps.
• Analyze costs and ROI for learning programs and drive process improvements.
• Design context-specific educational outcomes and plans.
• Promote evidence-based practice and lifelong learning in clinical settings.
• Assess learner characteristics and tailor programs to diverse needs.
• Advise on materials, environments (including virtual), and teaching strategies.
• Foster interprofessional partnerships to enhance health care through education.
• Mentor nurses and healthcare team members in NEPD roles.
