Job summary

Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Specialist (RN) to lead evidence-based education for the nursing team. You will develop programs, coordinate orientation, and ensure ongoing professional development aligned with patient safety and quality goals.

The role requires ANCC CNS or RN-BC certification and a Master’s in Nursing or related field, with a minimum of three years in clinical nursing and education delivery.

Qualifications

• Master's in Nursing or equivalent combination of nursing and education.
• 3 years of clinical nursing and education program experience.
• Knowledge of adult learning theory and educational design.

Responsibilities

• Develops and leads evidence-based educational programs for nursing staff.
• Coordinates orientation, onboarding, and continuing education initiatives.
• Assesses learning needs, designs materials, and evaluates outcomes.
• Collaborates across sites to align education with patient safety goals.
• Mentors NEPD staff and supports interprofessional education.
