Yale New Haven Health System is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Specialist (NPDS) to lead education and competency initiatives for nursing staff across Greenwich Hospital and affiliated entities. The NPDS will advance professional practice, align with ANA standards, and promote high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include assessing learning needs, developing leadership skills, facilitating interprofessional learning, and guiding quality improvement projects.

Competenze

• 3-5 years of active nursing experience; one year of teaching experience preferred.
• Nursing staff development and/or specialty area preferred.
• Demonstrates ability to develop, deliver, and evaluate educational programs.

• Assesses learning needs based on regulatory requirements, evidence-based practice, and staff-identified needs.
• Supports the development of nursing leadership skills in self and clinical staff according to ANA Standards of Practice.
• Represents nursing in the development of interprofessional learning activities.

• Develops, implements, evaluates competency based orientation.
