Yale New Haven Health System is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Specialist (NPDS) to lead education initiatives for nurses and clinical staff, advancing professional practice from novice to expert within the organization.

The NPDS designs and delivers education programs, develops leadership skills, collaborates with interprofessional teams, drives quality improvement, and implements competency-based orientation, with ongoing development in partnership with nursing education teams.

Competenze

• Master's degree in nursing (or higher) with degree completed by 6/1/2027.
• Active nursing experience: 3-5 years; teaching experience preferred.
• RN licensure in CT/RI and Nursing Board Certification within 2 years of hire.
• Demonstrates ability to develop, deliver, and evaluate educational programs.

• Assess learning needs based on regulatory requirements, evidence-based practice, and staff-identified needs.
• Support development of nursing leadership skills to promote professional nursing practice and quality patient care.
• Represent nursing in the development of interprofessional learning activities.
