Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Specialist (NPDS) to advance nursing education and professional growth across the system. The NPDS will facilitate education, leadership development, and collaborative learning with interprofessional teams, traveling as needed to YNHHS entities.
Candidates should hold a Master's degree in nursing, be enrolled in a Master's program with completion by 6/1/2027, and have 3–5 years of nursing experience; CT/RI licensure and board
Formación
- Master's degree or higher; one degree must be in nursing (BS/MS).
- Enrollment in a Master's program with completion by 6/1/2027.
- 3–5 years of active nursing experience; teaching experience preferred.
- CT/RI RN licensure; board certification within 2 years of hire.
Responsabilidades
- Education: assess learning needs based on requirements and staff needs.
- Role development: support nursing leadership skills per ANA standards.
- Collaborative partnerships: represent nursing in interprofessional learning.
- Champion of scientific inquiry: develop and implement quality improvement.
- Orientation: develop and implement competency-based orientation.
- Competency management: develop initial and ongoing competencies with education teams.
