Job summary

Schaffer Extended Care Center in New Rochelle, NY is seeking a Nurse Education & Administration Leader to coordinate facility-wide orientation, in-service education and other educational programs for staff development.

The role works with all departments, monitors infection control per CDC and OSHA guidelines, and ensures timely scheduling of mandatory programs; requires an RN with an associate degree, NYS licensure, and 1–3 years in Nursing Administration.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Valid NYS RN licensure.
• 1-3 years of experience in a long-term care facility in Nursing Administration.
• Knowledge of CDC guidelines related to infection control as well as OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Formulates, implements and evaluates policies and procedures for the facility wide In-service programs.
• Prepares annual calendar and master schedule of mandatory and other pertinent in-service programs.
• Schedules, conducts and arranges mandatory and other services for all staff.
• In conjunction with Department Leaders, conducts facility orientation for all new employees.
• Acts as a liaison with families and patients.
