Schaffer Extended Care Center in New Rochelle, NY is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing Services to work with the Director of Nursing. You will supervise Nursing Supervisors and oversee staff performance, QA activities, MDS data entry and submission, staffing, payroll, and liaison with Hospice care.

The role requires a BSN, NY RN license, 5 years supervisory experience, and PRI certification. Montefiore Health System supports growth and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related health facility.
• New York State Licensed Professional Nurse.
• PRI Certified.
• MDS Knowledge.
• Care Planning and Assessment knowledge.
• Knowledge of performance improvement activities and data collection.

Responsibilities

• Active role in identifying and addressing quality issues, and implementing corrective action.
• Develops and maintains good working rapport with interdepartmental personnel and other Facility departments to meet residents' needs.
• Supports and maintains Nursing Services objectives and standards.
• Assist with implementing and coordinating Departmental policies, procedures and job descriptions.
• Interprets Department policies and procedures to staff, residents, visitors, etc.
• Ensures that resident/patients rights are maintained.
• Participates in in-service education and orientation programs.
