Job summary

IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital is seeking a Nursing Professional Development Practitioner to oversee onboarding, education, and professional development for nursing and patient care staff. The role focuses on new team member orientation and CORE education, ensuring learners are equipped to deliver safe, high-quality care in line with the IU Health Way.

This 0.9 FTE, weekday day-shift position requires collaboration with leaders, preceptors, and subject matter experts.

Qualifications

• BSN is required and Indiana RN license active.
• BLS certification required; other life support may be needed.
• Able to travel to system educational needs.
• Two years of experience preferred.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding/orientation for new RNs/PCAs.
• Facilitate CORE classes and learning activities.
• Support competency programs and annual validations.
• Partner with leaders and educators to shape learning.
• Evaluate outcomes and pursue continuous improvement.
