Freeman Health System is seeking an Onboarding Specialist I to coordinate orientation and education for nursing staff within the Nursing Resource Department. The role collaborates with unit leaders and preceptors to ensure comprehensive onboarding and ongoing education opportunities.

The position focuses on curriculum development, staff competency, and the creation of system-wide courses and in-services, promoting Freeman Health System's Five Star Promise in daily work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Education or Healthcare related field.
• Strong collaboration with unit leaders and preceptors.

Responsibilities

• Formulates program outcomes and designs curricula reflecting healthcare trends.
• Coordinates unit orientation and maintains orientation checksheets.
• Develops unit learning plans and preceptor training series.
• Conducts daily rounding to assess educational needs of staff and preceptors.
• Creates learning environments in classroom, simulation and clinical settings.
