Job summary

Texas A&M University College of Nursing invites applications for two full-time, academic professional track (non-tenure) faculty positions at our McAllen, Texas campus. The successful candidates will teach in our BSN program and contribute to teaching, service, and ongoing program development.

Rank and salary will be determined by qualifications and experience. The 9-month appointment may include a summer contract; start January 2027.

Qualifications

• BSN and enrolled in MSN with ≥50% coursework completed; or BSN and MSN in another field with graduate nursing coursework.
• Eligible for Texas RN and/or APRN license depending on credentials.
• Experience providing didactic and clinical instruction at the baccalaureate level or higher.
• Two or more years of nursing practice; demonstrated clinical nursing expertise.

Responsibilities

• Teach in the BSN program across classroom, clinical, simulation and online formats.
• Provide academic advising, mentoring, and participate in accreditation activities.
• Contribute to course development aligned with curricular and accreditation standards and service within the College.
