Texas A&M University College of Nursing seeks an Academic Professional Track (Non-Tenure) leader to serve as Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Nursing Education at the McAllen campus. The role combines 50% administrative leadership with 50% teaching across BSN programs, on-campus and in-person.

The appointment begins January 2027 or sooner, with rank options of Clinical Assistant, Associate, or Professor. Start date, salary, and responsibilities align with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in nursing or related field with a master’s degree in nursing.
• Three years related professional experience in academic nursing education or hospital nursing leadership.
• Active RN license in Texas or eligible.
• Experience with nursing education accreditation and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in undergraduate BSN program development and evaluation.
• Oversee operations supporting BSN program options and sites.
• Recruitment and retention of faculty and ensure student success initiatives.
• Teach in classroom, clinical, simulation, and online environments.
• Participate in service activities to the University, college, and profession.
