Job summary

The University of Central Florida (UCF) College of Nursing invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure earning instructor or lecturer position in the Department of Nursing Practice on the Daytona campus, beginning in August 2027.

The successful candidate will teach clinical and didactic courses across the lifespan, supervise on-campus labs and simulations, advise students, and participate in college governance and curriculum development.

Qualifications

Inpatient clinical experience in pediatric, adult/geriatric, critical care, families, or women's health.
Undergraduate and/or graduate teaching experience in relevant nursing areas.
Active CPR/BLS certification by date of hire.
Unencumbered RN license; Florida licensure expected by date of hire; with multistate endorsement.
Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

Teach direct clinical portions of courses in inpatient units across identified areas.
Teach on-campus labs and simulations with mentorship to facilitate simulation in clinical courses.
Teach didactic courses in pediatric, adult/geriatric, families, women's health, or psychiatric areas as qualified.
Plan, organize, and deliver instruction to promote student success.
Advise, mentor, and participate in faculty governance and curriculum development.
