Job summary

The University of Central Florida College of Nursing invites applications for multiple full-time, 9-month instructor or lecturer positions in the Department of Nursing Practice. Roles will teach clinical and didactic courses across the lifespan at the UCF Academic Health Sciences Campus at Lake Nona, starting August 2027.

Rank will be determined by credentials and experience. The selected candidates will collaborate with colleagues and participate in College of Nursing faculty governance.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing required at time of application.
• Unencumbered RN license; Florida licensure expected by hire date; multi-state endorsement expected by hire date.

Responsibilities

• Teach clinical portions of courses (inpatient units) in pediatric, adult, families, and mental health.
• Teach on-campus labs and simulations; receive mentorship to facilitate simulation in clinical courses.
• Deliver didactic instruction in pediatric, adult/geriatric, families, psychiatric/mental health, or other electives.
• Plan, organize, and deliver instruction to promote student success.
• Advise, mentor, and role model professionalism for students; participate in governance.
• Collaborate with chairs, faculty, and peers to plan and develop curriculum; serve on committees.
