University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure earning instructor or lecturer position in the Department of Nursing Practice. The role is based on the Daytona campus and begins August 2027, focusing on clinical and didactic courses across the lifespan.

The rank (instructor to senior lecturer) will depend on credentials and experience; faculty governance and professional involvement are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required at time of application.
• Unencumbered RN license; Florida licensure by hire date; multi-state endorsement preferred.
• 2+ years inpatient clinical experience in pediatrics, adult/geriatric, critical care, families, women's health, or psych/mental health.
• Undergrad and/or grad teaching experience in one or more nursing areas within past 3 years.
• CPR/BLS certification by hire date.

Responsibilities

• Teach direct clinical portions of courses (inpatient units).
• Teach on-campus labs and simulation activities; receive mentorship for simulation.
• Deliver didactic courses in pediatric, adult/geriatric, families, or mental health areas.
• Plan and deliver instruction to promote student success; promote department mission.
• Advise, mentor, and role model professionalism for students and junior faculty.
• Participate in department, college, and university committees.
