Webster Manor Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Massachusetts is seeking a Director of Staff Development to lead educational programs for the nursing department. The role supports Nurse/ CNA orientations, develops ongoing education, and maintains staff development records.

The position offers 32 hours per week with weekly pay, and opportunities for career advancement. Must hold an active RN or LPN license and CPR certification, with prior nursing supervision in long-term care preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess nursing degree from an accredited school, college or university.
• Must have current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in this state.
• CPR certification required.
• One year of nursing supervisor experience in long-term care.
• Prior staff education experience preferred.
• Experience in supervision, teaching principles and practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure general orientation is completed for all employees.
• Conduct job-specific orientation for Nurses and CNAs.
• Develop and implement educational programs based on identified needs.
• Develop and distribute annual and monthly education calendars.
• Maintain a library of resource information and self-study programs for staff.
• Maintain staff development records accurately and timely.
