Job summary

Webster Manor Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Massachusetts is hiring a Director of Staff Development to lead education for our nursing team, including orientation for new hires and ongoing professional development.

The role is full-time with weekly pay, based on license and experience, and includes benefits such as life insurance, vacation, health/dental/vision coverage, and a 401(k) with employer match. Prior nursing supervision and staff-education experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN or LPN in this state.
• Must be CPR certified.
• Must have one year of nursing supervisor experience in a long-term care facility.
• Prior experience in staff education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that general orientation is completed for all employees.
• Conduct job specific orientation for Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants.
• Develop and implement educational programs based on identified needs to ensure the knowledge and skills of personnel.
• Develop and distribute annual and monthly education calendars.
• Maintain a library of resource information and self-study programs for facility staff
• Maintain staff development records accurately and timely.

Education

We are hiring a Director of Staff Development to join our dynamic care team at Webster Manor Rehabilitation & Health Care Center!

Webster Manor is an award-winning 135-bed skilled nursing facility. Can be an LPN or RN. Weekly pay ranges from $40 to $50, depending on license and experience. 32 hours a week.

Experience & Education:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN or LPN in this state.
• Must be CPR certified.
• Must have one (1) year of nursing supervisor experience in a long-term care facility.
• Prior experience in staff education preferred.
• Must have experience in supervision, principles, and practices of teaching, etc.
