Bel-Air Manor in Newington, CT, seeks a Director of Staff Development to lead nursing education and regulatory compliance for our 71-bed skilled nursing facility. This full-time role drives orientation, ongoing training, and competency assessments to ensure high-quality resident care.

The ideal candidate holds a CT RN license (BSN preferred) with 2+ years in long-term care and demonstrated leadership in education and staff development.

Qualifications

• CT RN license (unrestricted) is required.
• BSN preferred; accredited nursing program graduate.
• Minimum 2+ years as a licensed nurse, long-term care experience ideal.
• Experience in nursing education or staff training (or willingness to pursue).

Responsibilities

• Lead orientation and ongoing education programs for all staff.
• Plan, conduct, and evaluate in-service training and competency sessions.
• Maintain training records for compliance with regulations.
• Identify educational needs with nursing leadership and develop learning plans.
• Support QA initiatives and survey readiness through staff education.
