Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved School of Nursing.
• Current licensure to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• BSN preferred.
• One year of teaching experience preferred.
• Two years long-term care or acute care experience encouraged.
• CPR Trainer status desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversees education, training and documentation for newly licensed nursing staff with unit orientation follow-up.
• Provides weekly progress notes on education initiatives and staff competency.
• Designs programs to enhance nursing knowledge, skills and attitudes.
• Coordinates student placement and preceptorship for nursing students.
• Manages immunization clinics for employees and residents and documents results.
