Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Union City, TN seeks a seasoned Director of Nursing to lead the Nursing Services department in a busy skilled nursing facility. The role requires RN licensure, strong management experience, and a deep understanding of state and federal guidelines to ensure quality care.

You will oversee 24-hour nursing operations, staff development, budget oversight, and collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to maintain compliance and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered RN license in TN or compact state.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Three years in long-term or acute care preferred; at least 1 year nursing supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates plans for total resident care per physician orders and facility policies.
• Supervises nursing staff and monitors adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participates in admissions decisions and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Oversees budgeting, staffing, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Promotes patient-centered, compassionate care and effective communication.
